Intellectual Property Essentials for Business Owners

Join the UTA Veterans Business Outreach Center for the “Third Thursday Think Tank” featuring guest speaker Tim Ackermann, Navy Veteran, and Lawyer at The Ackermann Law Firm. Delve into intellectual property (IP) basics tailored for business owners. In this hybrid workshop, you’ll gain insights into:

  • Forms of IP: copyrights, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets
  • IP protection strategies and their business benefits
  • Addressing common contractual issues related to IP

Network with fellow veterans navigating the transition from corporate battlefields to entrepreneurship. Learn the essential steps to propel your journey as a business owner.

This is a hybrid workshop. In-person attendance at the UTA College of Business will be complemented by online streaming via Microsoft TEAMS.
